Market snapshot (CoinGecko, live vs ~7d, as-of 30 July 2026 19:46 UTC): BTC $64,783 (-0.38%) · ETH $1,923.83 (+2.49%) · SOL $74.59 (-1.55%). Source: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana on CoinGecko.
Fed holds 3.50-3.75% in a 9-3 vote with three hike dissents
On 29 July the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Fed's rate-setting body, kept the federal funds target at 3.50-3.75 percent on a 9-3 vote. Three members wanted a 25 bp hike. Crypto stayed near mid-$64k. No melt-up.
Why it matters: this sets the near-term funding floor for BTC, ETH, and SOL into month-end. A hold with hike dissents is not a cut cycle. Watch the next path reprice if inflation or geopolitics move hard.

Morgan Stanley launches spot ETH and SOL ETPs (MSSE, MSOL)
On 28 July Morgan Stanley Investment Management launched Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE) and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust (MSOL) on NYSE Arca. An exchange-traded product (ETP) here is a listed spot wrapper that holds the coins in custody. The company PR reprint says about a 0.14% fee and that staking rewards pass through. No independent MSSE/MSOL AUM print yet.
Why it matters: bank-franchise access for ETH and SOL, not day-one flows or an instant price move. Watch whether AUM builds and whether staking pass-through holds under policy.

Conclusion
From these points we conclude:
Funding floor stays firm
The Fed's hold with three hike dissents keeps the funding floor firm. Live tape is still cautious near mid-$64k BTC, not a cut-cycle melt-up.
Bank wrappers widen beyond bitcoin
MSSE and MSOL open bank wrappers for ETH and SOL at a stated 0.14% fee with staking pass-through. AUM build still matters more than day-one tape.
Path and AUM still to prove
Watch the next FOMC path reprice and whether those ETPs gather real assets under the stated fee and staking terms.
